I am a communications professional who has more than 24 years of experience in editing, writing, web content management, photography and design, for both print and online publications. During 16 of those years, I served as either first or second in command, in a supervisory role. In recent years, I’ve applied my knowledge of journalism to the public relations field at Colorado State University. I have become proficient in various multimedia tools, including WordPress; Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat; QuarkXpress; Dreamweaver; and the MS Office suite. I am also active professionally and personally on social media, from Facebook to Twitter to Instagram. I am well-versed in tracking hits, creating reports and sending news releases using media analytics/distribution systems like Cision and Trendkite. I’ve managed, written, copyedited and laid out content in a variety of fields, including education, news, science/environment, business, outdoors, entertainment and politics.
